Essex Aviation Group is excited to announce that is has completed the identification, acquisition and final delivery of a Learjet 45 for a Northeast-based client.
After years of chartering, the client decided that acquiring a dedicated aircraft would better suit its business-related travel needs. The client was introduced to Essex Aviation by one of the aviation financial institutions that Essex regularly works with, and the team at Essex quickly set to work assisting the client in evaluating various aircraft models. Since the client intended to use the aircraft for business purposes, there was a defined need for a model with an eight seat configuration. Based on this information, as well as the client’s specific purchasing objectives and known travel requirements, Essex Aviation was able to identify the Bombardier Learjet 45 as the desired aircraft.
Essex then utilized its wide array of industry connections to identify an off-market Learjet 45 aircraft that had not yet been listed for sale by the owner. The Learjet 45’s existing owner planned to take the delivery of their replacement aircraft and were preparing to bring the aircraft to market. After working with the current owner and their representatives, Essex was able to successfully negotiate the acquisition of the aircraft before the owner formally placed it on the market for sale.
Essex simultaneously worked with the client on the negotiation, final contracting and the selected aircraft charter management company for the ongoing management, operations and support, as well as to get the aircraft to conform to their Part 135 certificate for third-party charter. The client had utilized the selected aircraft management in the past for charter flights; the selected management company also has experience operating a large fleet of Learjet 45 aircraft, much to the client’s advantage.
