Essex Aviation Delivers Not One, But Three New Aircraft in Just Four Weeks

What’s better than delivering one new aircraft for a client? Delivering three new aircraft for three separate clients in the span of just four weeks — which is exactly what the team at Essex Aviation Group was able to achieve in the period from late August 2021 to mid-September 2021.

Let’s take a closer look at each of these three projects.

The first was the delivery of a newly produced Gulfstream G500 for a first-time private aircraft owner based in White Plains, New York. Though the client had already begun the acquisition with Gulfstream before bringing Essex Aviation on board, we provided all completion services, including:

  • On-site support throughout the final delivery process
  • Assisting the client in selecting and contracting a management company
  • Supporting the client’s management company in the recruitment and training of crew members and the aircraft’s maintenance director
  • Overseeing negotiations and final contracting of hangar space for the aircraft

The final delivery for the aircraft in question took place the week of August 30, 2021.

The second project was the acquisition and final delivery of a Bombardier Global 6500 for a client based in Teterboro, New Jersey. This client was an existing Essex Aviation client who wanted to add another aircraft to their fleet. For this particular project, Essex Aviation assisted throughout the entire acquisition process, from negotiating the purchase of the aircraft and attending specification meetings, all the way through final delivery. We also provided on-site delivery support alongside the client’s current crew.

The final delivery for the Global 6500 took place the week of September 13, 2021.

Last, but certainly not least, the third project was the final delivery of a newly produced aircraft for a client based in Uruguay who wanted to upgrade from a Gulfstream G280 to a G500. Similar to the client in the first project, the client for this project began their acquisition with Gulfstream prior to contacting Essex Aviation; that said, we were brought on to:

  • Assist with aircraft financing through UBS;
  • Assist the client in selecting and contracting a management company; and
  • Provide on-site delivery support alongside the client’s current crew

The delivery for this third and final project took place the week of September 20, 2021.

“It isn’t often that we get the opportunity to complete this many projects over such a short period of time,” said Lee Rohde, President & CEO at Essex Aviation Group. “I believe the fact that we were able to successfully complete these projects on time, within just a few weeks’ period, working with the various manufacturer’’s delivery teams and the client’s existing or newly hired flight department members is a real testament to the dedication of our team and the relationships we have with our clients.”
