Providing high-net-worth individuals, corporations and family offices with the insight and expertise they need to confidently navigate the purchase or lease of a fractional share.
There are several important considerations to take into account when entering into fractional share ownership or lease. At Essex Aviation, we assist clients through the entire process, starting with an initial evaluation and review of the options presented; representation during the review, negotiations, final contracting with the selected fractional provider and delivery of the share.
Perform Initial Evaluation
Clients considering fractional shares come from different experiences and have varying needs. For those new to private aviation and even for those simply looking to make a change, the initial evaluation of all the various programs and options available is the first important step in working with Essex. The team at Essex assists clients in evaluating different aircraft options based on their specific needs and desires — performing a technical and financial analysis to ensure the right aircraft and aviation utilization models are considered.
Oversee the Proposal
Once an aircraft type has been identified and assessments are complete, Essex assists clients with understanding the various proposals from the identified providers to determine which will most effectively meet the clients defined needs and requirements.
Oversee Negotiations and Contracting
Once the final selection of a provider is made, Essex will provide on-going representation during the review, including the negotiation of terms, final contracting and delivery of the share.
Ongoing Financial Monitoring
While the billing process for fractional providers is well defined with fixed monthly management fees, along with invoices for variable costs based on hours flown during the prior month, Essex also offers clients routine statement monitoring on an as requested basis.
Most fractional share contracts are in place for three to five year terms. If a client wishes to exit the share early, it can be helpful to retain experienced counsel, such as Essex Aviation, to assist with determining the fair market value being offered by the program provider along with the final repurchase transaction of the share.
Essex’s clients receive thorough consultative services that cover every aspect of fractional share purchase or lease.
