Essex Aviation Finalizes Falcon 900EX EASy Acquisition [And Then Some]

Falcon 900EX EASy jet acquisition

Another successful acquisition in the books! Essex Aviation Group recently supported a high-net-worth client with the purchase and final delivery of a pre-owned Falcon 900EX EASy — but that’s only half the story.

The client, who had previously acquired a Falcon 2000 with Essex Aviation’s assistance, wanted to upgrade to the Falcon 900 in order to accommodate his future longer range travel requirements. We leveraged our network of clients and partners to identify a suitable aircraft, eventually settling on a bank-owned Falcon 900EX EASy; Essex Aviation had previously assisted the bank with the lease return of this particular aircraft earlier in the year. From there, we oversaw the entire transaction, which included a seller-funded major 3C airframe and landing gear inspection, along with a standard pre-purchase inspection and records review.

Once the acquisition was complete, the refurbishment process began. The client wanted their newly acquired Falcon 900EX EASy to have the same finishes and amenities as their previous Falcon 2000; this required significant updates, including major interior upgrades, Wi-Fi installation, exterior paint and the installation of winglets. West Star Aviation provided all interior refurbishment and modification services, installation of the winglets, and exterior paint. Essex Aviation worked with the owner’s flight department staff as representatives for the client and managed the Falcon 900EX EASy’s final review, acceptance and delivery to the owner.

In addition to overseeing the acquisition and refurbishment processes, Essex Aviation also handled the sale of the client’s original Falcon 2000. Since there is extremely high demand in the market for this particular model, we never officially listed the aircraft, but instead identified a suitable buyer by working with various brokers and sending out a series of broadcasts to the market.

“Our team was incredibly hands-on throughout this entire process,” said Lee Rohde, President and CEO of Essex Aviation. “This particular project showcases not only the depth of our network and the range of services we offer, but also the lengths we’ll go to in order to ensure that our client’s needs are met and that they’re completely satisfied.”
