At Essex Aviation, we offer unbiased, consultative support throughout every stage of the private aviation acquisition process and are prepared to step in at any time. For evidence of this, look no further than a recent project we completed on behalf of a Northeast-based client in the financial services industry.

The client, who frequently travels long distances for business, negotiated directly with Bombardier to purchase a newly built Global 6500. Once the purchase agreement was finalized, the client approached Essex Aviation to oversee the completion management process, including design meetings, on-going production on-site visits, final delivery and customer acceptance.

We began by meeting Bombardier’s design and specifications team to discuss the client’s requirements for the aircraft and their intended utilization. We reviewed the design team’s initial drawings and renderings before presenting them to the client in a final, in-person meeting, during which the client approved the final floor plan, specifications, material selections and other options for the aircraft.

Once we finalized and reviewed the completion specifications and secured client approval, Bombardier’s engineering and production process began. Over the next several months, the Essex team regularly visited various production and completion facilities to monitor ongoing construction and address any issues with the final interior installation of the aircraft.

When the aircraft’s final production and test flights were complete, Essex, Bombardier and the client’s representatives began the final delivery and acceptance of the aircraft. This week-long process encompasses the final review of the aircraft, including verifying loose equipment, filing entry into service documentation and the final delivery and closing process.

“This was an exciting completion project to manage, one that demonstrates the breadth of Essex’s capabilities,” said Lee Rohde, president and CEO of Essex Aviation. “We were proud to lend our expertise to ensure that the client received an aircraft that perfectly meets their needs and look forward to working with them again in the future.”
