At Essex Aviation, one of our top priorities is ensuring that our clients always have access to the aircraft they need, as demonstrated by a recent project we completed on behalf of a long-standing client based in New York.
The client reached out to our team to market their Bombardier Global 6000, with plans to replace it with a new Global 6500. To accommodate that client’s needs, we had to align the acquisition and delivery of the 6500 to coincide with sale of their existing 6000, thereby reducing the amount of time they would be without an aircraft.
We began by marketing the 6000 in the fall of 2023, with a pre-purchase inspection slot reserved for mid-November to try to line up the sale of the 6000 with the final acceptance and delivery of the client’s new 6500 (which was scheduled for mid-December).
We received a great deal of buyer interest for the Global 6000, with multiple parties presenting offers. Members of the Essex team traveled to both Montreal for the final acceptance and delivery of the 6500 and to Bombardier’s U.S. service center to oversee the pre-purchase inspection for the sale of the 6000.
The Global 6500 was successfully delivered and its sale closed on a Monday; the sale of the 6000 closed the very next day. We were fortunate to have several things come together and for the timing to work out so well for these two transactions — a critical goal from the beginning of this project that we were proud to achieve.
We look forward to continuing work with this long-standing client, including working with their flight department to ensure that their fleet is up to date and meets their ongoing flight requirements.
“Essex is always ready to support both the sale and acquisition processes for our clients,” said Lee Rohde, President and CEO of Essex Aviation Group. “This project clearly demonstrates our ability to navigate complexity and meet our clients’ needs. We look forward to continuing to work with this client and to meeting all of their travel requirements.”
